Leila and Steve Photodate in Providence - Photo by Trish

I met up with Leila and Steve on Wednesday for a little pre-wedding photo fun. Well, actually I picked them up at the tire repair place... On their way down from Boston they discovered a nail in their tire! So they dropped it off to be fixed while we snapped away and I chauffered them around in my Jeep. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time! They did a great job posing and getting into the photo-mood, Steve was 'working it', I always appriciate the effort!

They are getting married on Septemebr 21st, so check back to see wedding photos in a few weeks. Wow time flies, Spetember has always seemed so far off, but's it's now! I got a sneak peek at some of their very fancy dance moves, can't wait to see them set to music! See you soon...

They have known each other since junior high school...

They lived ont he same street and their parents were friends...

Steve's mother had her eye on Leila as a prospective date for Steve...

They lost touch for a while...

But they reunited after college...

And started dating and fell in love...

Now they are getting married...

And Steve's mom will probably be the happiest person there, she knew it all along!

Jill and Brian at the Granite Links Country Club in Quincy MA Photos by Mariah and Melissa

It's not often that we get up to the Boston area... not that we don't want to- it's just that there are a lot of weddings to be photographed right here in our back yard. It's always nice to go somewhere new, and Jill and Brian found us through a really great couple that we photographed about 5 years ago! So off we went to Quincy....
Jill's gorgeous dress... photo by Melissa.
Jill is the lucky auntie of 3 gorgeous boys and 2 lovely girls. Her older sisters were nice enough to produce some really good looking kids. I don't know Jill, they set the bar pretty high! Peg, Jill's mom has beautiful black and white shots of them all over her house. Maybe she'll add this one to the collection?!
Jill's mom was standing behind me when I took this shot, we both knew it was going to be a WOW photo!

Jill, right before we leave for church...

Jill requested this shot, it's always the BEST moment! Photo by Melissa.

The two moms!

Brian toasting his bride- so sweet!

I love this photo! They look so relaxed. I like Brian's "man hands" on Jill's little waist. AW...

This one reminds me of Kansas or something... it's very "prairie!" Melissa.

Nice touch... photo by Melissa.

So, while Melissa is busy photographing the room- Linda from the Granite Links asks me if I know about the ruins... I don't. "What ruins?" I ask. "The ruins at the bottom of the property, it might be kind of cool for photos. I can take you in the golf cart if Jill and Brian want to go." she says.

This is where she takes us! What?!!!! I am totally stoked at this point. And no, I am not from California, I just like the word stoked.

Hey, Jill- hop up on that rock....

My FAV photo of the day!

Thank you Linda- you are the best!

Back to the party... Photo by Melissa

Jill added that gorgeous brown ribbon to her dress for the reception, I thought that was a fun touch.

And now she matches the cake!

Cheers! I think Jill is pretty stoked too (to be married to Brian!)

Granite Links is very sparkly.

And then we get a gorgeous sunset!

Some fun dancing moves... this guy is doing some sort of front flip... unfortunately he did NOT stick the landing! oops!

Some canoodling on the dance floor...

I think this little guy is spent-he partied pretty hard though!

Last Dance...

The view of the Boston skyline from the balcony- beautiful! THE END...

Hope you guys are having a terrific time in Hawaii-I think maybe all the Snap! Hawaii honeymooners should get together and have a coconut concoction for us!

Hilary and Josh - The Sullivan House - Block Island - Photos by Trish

As you know I spent the week on Block Island last week and had the pleasure of photographing Hilary and Josh's wedding there on Saturday. We had absolutely beautiful weather so there were no complaints here! They met before the ceremony so that we could go around the Island and take advantage of some of the scenery. I had such a great time with them and was so appreciative of their excitement about doing the photos. The pictures really meant a lot to them and they wanted to do whatever they had to to get the shots, that's the spirit! It was really a pleasure spending the time with them and they are such a cute couple, thanks for having me there!

A classic summer moment...

Hilary's sister Julie is a professional make-up artist so she was in charge of the bridal glamour...

Flowers by Hilary's friend from high school, Carolyn did such a great job on the flowers!

Very snazzy Block Island cuff links.

Hilary coming out of the Sullivan House porch door to see Josh for the first time.

The Southeast Lighthouse, fantastic! Josh was most excited about getting these pics...

It was hard working around the tourists in the background, but I managed...

I love all the different colors and textures in this shot, what a beautiful building. It's still under renovation and Josh says they are planning a B&B in part of it, very cool!

Timmy was our driver and zoomed us all around the Island to get our photos done, not an easy task with the gazillion people on bikes and mopeds on a one lane road! But we made it back without hitting anyone so that was good. But Hilary was a little worse for wear with a little car-sickness, but she made it through!

These little squiggly trees are very typical of Block Island, I liked this set of two for a backdrop.

Funny, I had this spot in mind because it is so very "Block Island", and then Josh said he found a great spot to do photos, in the same place!

Hilary was feeling a little hungry and thirsty so we stopped for a snack here, got the last two cookies!

Hilary's friend Carolyn is a professional florist and did an amazing job with the flowers, I thought that these branches with Orchids were so cool, simple yet elegant!

Josh proposed to Hilary with a message in a bottle at the beach. I think that is very creative!

Sort of a wow location, wouldn't you say!?

They were so excited after the ceremony, happy to have the most nerve wracking part of the day over, and to finally be married!

A lovely natural light pouring in the tent for the first dance...

I always love the emotional Dads, so sweet!

Here is the view of the reception from the street, pretty sweet! That sun flare just screams summer night in August, beautiful!

We got our driver to zip us over to the beach during the reception so we could get these shots, totally worth it I think!

Doesn't it look like they are in some tropical place? No, it's just our little Rhode Island.

And we're walking, and we're looking fabulous...

Another spectacular Block Island sunset!

Another blue light special, I can't get enough!
