Featured Album No. 37

We are album-ing like mad here at Snap! I love this time of year! We are shooting less, but that doesn't mean that we aren't being creative. Trish is doing a great job of getting album layouts to all of our 2009 brides. If you haven't gotten your yet... rest assured, it's in the works!
Of course the real fun is looking at the albums once they arrive.
Here's a little peek at a 3 volume set we just received.
The fun album on top is a rehearsal dinner album and the blue and white albums are vol. 1 and vol.2 of the wedding.

Love me a panorama!

So pretty! Enjoy!

We'll be featuring many more albums all winter as they start to pour in! Poor Kevin our trusty UPS delivery man has really got his work cut out for him!

Creative Uses for Engagement Photos No. 15

Sarah is one of our snap! brides for next year. Melissa is shooting her wedding in August. Sarah asked Melissa to help her create an image for an antique postcard. Sarah wanted to use the postcard as a "Save the Date."

Melissa met Sarah and Zack in Boston for their photo date last spring. This is the image they ended up choosing for their postcard. Melissa gave the image a nice sepia tone and then added some texture to give it a vintage feel. Love it!

Sarah was nice enough to send us the finished piece...

So cute! Love it!!!

We love to see all the clever things you are doing with the engagement and also the wedding photos! Don't forget to send us a sample!

New Leaf Photo Shoot

Our sassy friends at New Leaf Salon in Bristol asked us to photograph them for some upcoming ads they are doing. FUN! The first 3 photos are of Leah... makeup artist and hair stylist extraordinaire. She transformed herself with three very different looks. She managed to do this all within a matter of minutes. Amazing!
This first look is Leah's natural, freshly scrubbed, dewy look.

This one is the 1950's pin up... Marilyn look. Leah is seriously hot stuff.

This last one is rocker chic. Love it- and it just so happens that Leah is an amazingly talented musician/ singer. Some girls just have it all.

This is Alli, she works part time at the salon.. she is sporting the "perfect bob" who doesn't want one?! I joked and told her all the ladies are going to be coming in saying, "give me the Alli!"

Alli with a fancy up-do and headband, which I am told is very in this season. As a matter of fact, I went out and bought myself 3 fabulous headbands after this shoot. Throw your hair in a ponytail, slip on a headband and you are instantly fancy.

This is Ashley, she is our bohemian beauty. Doesn't she look like she just got back from a day of surfing? She's so healthy and sunshiney!

Now she's ready for a holiday party! Love the side pony tail!

I've said it before and I'll say it again- the ladies at New Leaf are the best! You must call them if you need hair and makeup for your wedding!!! Actually, just call them anytime- we all need a little sprucing right?! http://www.newleafhairstudio.com/ 401.254.9333
Ask for my friend Courtney if you are getting married!
They have fantastic bridal packages, a newly renovated bridal room & will also travel to your location if you need them to.

Amy and Dave at the State Room in Boston, Part Three

Posted by Mariah:

What a gorgeous room!

Amy's sister in law Erin, made all of these fabulous table numbers.

Why Friar juice? PC grads of course! This drink looked so delicious and so refreshing I was extremely tempted to indulge in one... but of course I did not and now Amy and Dave have in-focus photos instead of blurry memories.

MMM, maple syrup.

MMM. cupcakes.

Here are my little buddies... former snap clients Erin and Jason, who will celebrate their 5th anniversary this year!!!

Getting ready for the grand entrance.

Voila! Fun shot by Melissa.

Taking a little spin...oooh, another Melissa photo- she's on fi-ya!

Listening to the toasts.

Cheers!

Aww.

This view does not get old.

Showing the photographer a little love!

Some sweets, and a milkshake to wash it down!

Time to party!

just a few last photos...

Good night guys! Have a great time in Costa Rica! I am so jealous, but the cupcakes should help soothe my sadness!

Amy and Dave at the State Room in Boston, Part Two

Posted by Mariah:

A little trip to the Back Bay for the ceremony at beautiful St. Cecilia's. I love this shot of the girls climbing the stairs.

Melissa took this great photo of Amy waiting for the ceremony to begin.

This is a sweet moment between Amy and her dad. This is a tough moment for dads I think...

Love the ceiling!

I love these next two photos... this one just feels so timeless. Could be any decade.

I'm crazy for this one because I love Amy's feet. She's sitting like a little girl. So cute.

Melissa caught this photo of me skulking around the church. I know I am getting older because it's a lot harder now to spring up from this position. (sigh.)

I do's.

Hooray!

So happy!

I love the light and the colors in this one.

Cheers!

Next stop... the State Room on the 33rd Floor! (Gulp.)

Amy and Dave don't mind my kooky ideas...

Hello Handsome!

The whole gang.

Don't jump! Okay, jump.

It's a romantical view for sure!

Goofing around with the ladies... this pose was their idea. That's the spirit!

Next up... all the reception fun!

Amy and Dave at the Langham Hotel, Boston

Posted by Mariah:

The Langham Hotel is fabulous... Amy and Dave chose to stay there for their wedding this weekend. It's my second visit, and I was happy to make it back! Interestingly, I was watching the Travel Channel yesterday and the Langham Hotel made it on the show for their all you can indulge chocolate brunch! (I didn't know about that... might have arranged to get their a little earlier on Saturday if I had!) I spied this little chocolate beauty in Amy's room and thought it would look nice wearing her ring.

Amy had a gorgeous bouquet. I love how it was wrapped with these palm- like leaves.

Apparently Amy is more of a T -shirt and jeans kind of girl then an up-d0 and makeup kind of girl. Can't wait to see the transformation!

Of course, no girl can resist a little pampering.

Things got a little tense at this point... not that you can tell from this photo.
Amy wasn't completely sold on the idea of a veil...(remember t-shirts and jeans).
But, I am so glad she wore it! She looked so great with it and it completed her bridal-ness!

Gorgeous!

Amy's dad was very emotional when he saw her for the first time.

Stunning!

Amy and her girls.
The tall brunette beauty on the left is Amy's sister in law Erin.
Erin is a former snap! bride from 2005. She was married in January... and we had the best time, I was so excited when Amy called me and told me it was her turn to get married.

And here is Amy's brother Jason... husband to Erin and former snap! groom.
I don't know how well Amy and Jason got along when they were little, but they are so sweet to each other now as grown ups. I really hope my kids grow up to have a relationship like theirs!

Meanwhile, Melissa is photographing the handsome groom, Dave.

I love the gifts Dave had for his friends... bobble heads in each of their likenesses!

Hilarious! (and quite life like!)

Melissa took the boys downstairs for a few photos. I love this portrait of Dave (and George).

The Langham has a really swanky bar... perfect for photos of the men.

...and convenient for acquiring a cocktail.

Once the men left, it was time for Amy's portrait. She said, "It feels weird, like I am posing."
I said, "you are!" and "you look fabulous!"
I also told her to think.... Vanity Fair.
I think she did a good job!
She's very 1930's in this photo.
Amy, I know you are modest, but you seriously need a canvas print of this in your house.

...and possibly this one too.

So festive!
Stay tuned next for the ceremony and then the reception at the State Room!
