Oscar Speaks...

"Well, I am not waiting a minute longer, where is my yacht?! This is an outrage, seriously. Anyway...is this going to be in the Fall J Paw catalog? 'cause I am workin' this shirt, even though I am totally humiliated."
"I see you doing that, let's just go ahead and give me the treat, look at my sit and stay skills!"

"Oh my gosh, why are you man-handling me like this? What did I do? Please put me down, for the love of pete! (he's my friend from the dog park by the way) it's just too much!"

"I see you seeing me and all of my cuteness right now, you know it's true. Guess what...I love you too."

Mariah's "Photo Date" with Leah, Matt & Trolla

Last night I met Leah, Matt and Trolla in Narragansett for a litttle photo session. Originally we planned to do it today- but decided Wednesday made more sense, given the forecast for the next ten days. There's no time to spare... L & M's wedding is June 6th! That's exactly 28 days away, but who's counting, right Leah?!!! (Leah is freaking out a little, but that's normal). I told her not to worry- she has AWESOME vendors lined up. The venue is the Towers, she has Morin's doing her catering, Semia doing her flowers and HELLO! me taking the photos- it's going to be an amazing day. Not to mention Leah is gorgeous and has the whitest teeth I've ever seen! Matt, like most grooms was a good sport and indulged us in our kooky ideas and wardrobe changes- thank you Matt! Trolla cared more about the other dogs on the beach than having her portrait taken, but I think she looks great in the pics anyway. Narragansett beach is a really gorgeous spot for photos, and it was especially fitting to take L & M there for our date because it is their fav summertime hangout. Matt's parents have a cute summer place a few miles from the beach. We decided that Leah is not using Matt for his summer home however- she met him just before his parents bought it! Nice timing Leah! Can't wait for the wedding!

Pam's Place

We ventured down to East greenwich today to say hi to our friend Pam D'orsi. She is the new proud owner of New England Invitaions located on Main street. Her store is so cute, she has great style! She carries really nice things, from inviations to bridemaids gifts. Check her out if you are in the neighborhood or if you need a wedding coordinator for your big day. We know Pam as a wedding coordinator, www.pdrevents.com, and have a done a handful of beautiful weddings with her, she does a great job!

She has all kinds of awesome invitaions, loads and loads of books to look through!

Isn't she cute?! Love these monogramed necklaces as gifts!

Good luck with the new store Pam!!!

Mariah's "Photo Date" with Averi and Paul

What's my idea of a perfect date? Hmmm...well first I took Averi and Paul back to my place... Wait! Isn't that supposed to happen at the end of the date? I thought it might be a good idea to warm up at the office first in our mini-studio. Then we went for a stroll down Benefit street where I subjected Paul and Averi to leaky gutters, oncoming traffic and ridiculously steep hills, not to mention my unorthodox parking... I think it was worth it for all of the killer backgrounds, colors and textures we found. We popped in at the RISD museum- and since I am a cheap date- I was excited to find out that it is free on Sunday mornings! Averi and Paul spend a lot of time poking around the museums in DC where they live- so I thought they'd feel right at home in our own little gem of a museum. Next stop- Thayer street to add a little "grunge" to our very pretty pics. I spotted this green wall the other day while hunting for green backdrops (which is Averi's fav color). Averi and Paul and I had a really fun time- we laughed A LOT! They were very polite and indulged me in my corny jokes and stories. Thanks guys! Also Paul- was very chivalrous to treat me to a yummy caramel coffee to warm me up after our rainy shoot. I cannot wait until their wedding in August - I just know the sun will be shining then, even if it eluded us on Sunday!

Erin and Jack Part 2

Well, it's a rainy Saturday afternoon and I thought why not revisit a warmer and sunnier day?! A few more photos of E & J certainly couldn't hurt! I was watching a movie this afternoon, "Becoming Jane" with Ann Hathaway and James McAvoy. It's a historical drama about Jane Austen's life. So sad! She finds her true love - but because of social standing etc... they can't be together. I needed to cheer myself up a little so looking at two people clearly made for each other who actually get to spend their lives together was just the ticket! Pretty lucky huh?
