Nikki + John's Photodate at Waterplace Park, Providence RI

Posted by Mariah:
Nikki and John wanted a Providence backdrop for their photos... I love providence! Waterplace park is practically the backyard of the Snap HQ. I wish more of our clients opted for Providence (hint...hint).

I had never meet N + J. How pretty is Nikki? Stunning eyes, pearly whites, healthy tan... how can you go wrong?

I sat on this very bench with my hubby a week or so before on our anniversary. While he was thinking romantical thoughts about me (I'm sure...) I was thinking, this would be a great spot for an engagement photo.
Voila!

Nikki is full of life! I think she keeps John on his toes, or maybe it's the other way around. Either way, these two know how to laugh together.

I heart the Providence River and also this time of night...

Ooh la la.

What you can't tell from these photos (thank god) is that it was still 100 degrees at 7pm! Nikki, the dewy-ness is working for you!

It was so hot, I might have jumped in, but let's not forget this is the Providence River...

Seriously, Nikki is hot stuff.

John did not need much encouragement for canoodling...

Speaking of hot stuff...

A little dance practice...

Too bad they aren't very animated...

You guys were so great! Hope you love the sweat-free photos. Nice job looking cool in the pics despite the temp. Let's hope for mid 70's in September... 30 degrees cooler would be just right! xoxox Mariah

Colleen and Alex's Photodate with Mariah at Waterplace Park, Providence

I had a meeting yesturday morning, and my newest Snap! bride Katie (hey katie!) told me that I have the best job ever. She's right! I do! I love it! Look how I spent my Thursday evening!!! What a gorgeous night, and I spent it cruising around on a gondola in Providence with Marcello (our gondolier) and Colleen and Alex- two of the nicest most easy going people ever! Did I put enough exclamation points in my paragraph to convey my excitement?!!!!!!! I met Colleen and Alex in Waterplace park for our gondola ride. Colleen told me they had always wanted to try it- and so have I... and so we planned our date.
Fisheye lens... fun. These gondolas are so gorgeous.

Speaking of gorgeous... and clever Colleen wore red and black! I didn't even tell her to do that! If you BYOB Marcello supplies you with glasses, icebucket, and nibbles for the ride.

I LOVE this photo, sunflare is one of my favorite tricks- I also added some texture to this shot to give it a Vintage feel. Colleen and Alex are funky so I know they'll appreciate it.

My view from the front of the gondolier- we are headed down river toward the hurricaine barrier and our Snap! office.

I like the shadow of Marcello on the wall, Colleen is artsy so she noticed it too.

Classic!

Romantical! Marcello approves...

It really looks like with could be in Venice!

Marcello pulled over so I could jump out and get these birdeye shots of Colleen and Alex- he picked me up on the other side of the bridge I was standing on. Clever!

Here we are going through a tunnel. You can only go thru it at low tide because the river is tidal and at times, there is only a few inches of space. We must have hit it just right. Marcello also sang us a lovely song as we passed thru the tunnel, it was very "phantom of the opera"!

The End.

Alex, Colleen & Marcello. If you haven't been for a ride, you must!!! It was a blast. Call Marcello for a reservation, you can get his information on their website, http://www.gondolari.com/.

Providence is so unique and beautiful. Colleen and Alex are getting married at the Cathedral and having their reception at the Biltmore on Halloween!

These guys are so sweet. Alex was only slightly traumatized by the photoshoot- but he did great! See Alex, I told you you'd look good. :)

Couple more smooches before we go...

See you guys in October! Can't wait!!!

Alexis and Joe at Water Place Park - Photos by Trish

These two are seriously about as cute as it gets! I want to be them! I met them in Providence last week for this portrait session. We had such a great time and they really embodied what it's all about, just be in love and smile a little. I can't wait for their wedding at this August! Joe is actually a very close and long time friend of our Melissa, they have been friends since grade school! How cool is that? Joe is just the cutest and nicest ever and I am so happy for Alexis. I am happy for Joe too because Alexis is so beautiful and lovely and sweet, together they are a super couple! The only dissapointment of this shoot was that Joe had talked of wearing a Speedo and he did not deliver, so that was a total bummer, but we still have the wedding...

Andrea and Howard 5-25-2008 at The Westin, Providence RI

Flowers by Anna at Snapdragons- she does such an amzing job and is so sweet to match!

I love this photo of Andrea she looks like a "vintage starlet"!

A beautiful moment between Howard and Andrea right before the ceremony, they were both REALLY nervous!
Andrea is radiant, and I love how the bottom of her dress swishes around her feet when she walks.
Happy Couple!

Andrea indulges my crazy ideas...

Super fun wall of tile at Waterplace park with many messages of Love, Hope, and Peace - how appropriate!

Andrea's friends were awesome! They totally love her!

How fun is this shot? We didn't let the bouquets hit the ground... the boys were standing behind us to catch them. We took a ton of these shots, this one is by Melissa- she caught the best of the batch. Nice job Melissa!

I shot this, but the pose was Melissa's idea- very nice.

Love this shot of the bridal party, Emily the bridesmaid is a champion jumper!

Andrea really wanted this shot, and Howard wasn't sad to pose this way!

Andrea and me, my new BFF!

Another Melissa spectacular special!

Anna nailed it with these flowers!

Last photo of the evening.... love that blue light in the windows behind them!

So, Andrea and Howard will be giving a seminar soon called "How to work-it for your wedding photos" Seriously! We had sooo much fun with them. Andrea was an absolute dream to photograph. She has an amazing sense of humor and more energy than 10 brides put together. Howard was funny and charming and totally cooperative. It was a marathon day- but it felt like it flew by. These pics are just the tip of the iceberg. Right before she walked down the aisle Andrea asked Melissa how many photos we typically give the client. Melissa told her around 1000. Andrea winked and said.. "make it 2000!" Now that's my kind of girl!
